Dr. Han truly deserves the title of the best shoulder surgeon in Los Angeles. I had seen a handful of the "best" renowned orthopedic shoulder surgeons in the area, including the one who had performed rotator cuff repairs on sports legends like Kobe Bryant and Manny Pacquiao. However, each doctor told me that my rotator cuff tear was massive, and not reparable.

Fortunately, another doctor recommended that I see Dr. Han. From the very first meeting, Dr. Han's confidence and expertise were immediately apparent. He took the time to thoroughly assess my case and confidently reassured me that he could arthroscopically repair my massive rotator cuff tear. He compared his innovative rotator cuff repair technique to standard methods, and the differences were obvious. He patiently explained the procedure and showed me numerous cases similar to mine that he had successfully treated. The consultation was unlike any of my other orthopedic doctor visits as he was showing me my rotator cuff tear could be repaired.

A year after the surgery, my shoulder has been restored, and I am now free from the nightly pain that had once plagued me. Thanks to Dr. Han's unparalleled expertise, I have been able to reclaim my active lifestyle, including golf, which I thought I might never enjoy again.

My mom had a knee replacement from Dr. Han and had an amazing result. Honestly, I was skeptical of her having surgery in Koreatown so I went with her when she decided to have surgery by him and I did my research.

Dr. Han is a very accomplished doctor with an excellent bedside manner and tremendous reputation. But above all, he genuinely cared about her and was passionate about his work. She chose him over 3 other doctors including academically affiliated hospitals. From her friends to nurses and physical therapy and everyone else in the hospital, I learned that Dr. Han is known for doing the best knee replacement in town.

My mom had surgery and was walking the same day. She went home the next day. She can now walk miles (when she couldn’t even walk a few blocks) and even golfs and does dance classes! She no longer has knee pain and is overall just much happier. This surgery has really changed her life. We were really lucky to have met him and he is truly a blessing for Koreatown!

Let me shed some light on the reviews I've read.
My surgery was done 4 yrs ago. Other doctors wanted to replace my shoulder. Dr. Han saved it and did it orthoscopic. This allowed me to heal faster. I'm right-handed, and it was my left shoulder, i can golf and surf with no pain. The man is genius with the tools he uses. Because of this he is very busy. If for any reason you don't think you want a genius to work on your body because he didn't want to spend the extra time stroking your hair or begging your pardon, then go elsewhere. As for me, I only wish he did a wider range of operations. I would trust him with open heart surgery if he did it. He is a Jedi.

Back in February, I broke my wrist in a snowboarding accident. The next day I went straight to Dr. Han at Han Orthopaedics and I’m so glad I did. Today marks my final 3 month appointment and everything’s back to normal. You wouldn’t even know I broke anything. He was able to fit me into surgery right away and I had absolutely no post-operative complications. Dr. Han and his staff are very attentive and are always looking out for their patients. What’s even cooler is their Physical Therapy office is right in Dr. Han’s office so it’s very convenient. I was in a physical therapy session one day and I had a question and Dr. Han popped in to answer. Debbie, the physical therapist, and Justin, the physical therapy assistant are amazing providers! All in all, I highly recommend Han Orthopaedics for any orthopedic problems. Dr. Han knows many specialists as well that he can refer you to like the hand specialist Dr. Lee who works in the same building. You won’t go wrong with Dr. Han.

I will start by saying that I have been in the medical field for over 20 years as a surgical technician at Cedars Sinai and in the orthopedic hip and knee implant industry. I deal with orthopedic surgeons on a daily basis, mainly in the operating room setting. I feel that based on my experience I am very capable to tell you who is a good doctor and surgeon.

Over the years I have met countless orthopedic surgeons and recently met Dr. Yung Han. Given my profession I have had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Han perform surgery, specifically hip and knee replacements. While Dr. Han is well known for his surgical expertise in shoulder surgery, I can honestly say that he is also an excellent and methodical hip and knee surgeon. So much so that I did not hesitate to seek him out for my own personal treatment with my hip injury.

About a month ago I was involved in a dirt bike accident injuring my upper leg and hip area.  Because of this incident I have been having discomfort when sitting and doing daily activities.  After waiting and not getting any better I made an appointment with Dr. Han's clinic.  Even after having to change my appointment last minute Dr. Han’s staff was extremely polite and accommodating.  After that visit and a minor in office procedure the discomfort is gone.  All thanks to Dr. Han and staff!

I will also say that you would be very fortunate to have Dr. Han be your doctor. He really does what is best for the patient. His decision making, medical knowledge, and surgical abilities are tops. Not many people get to see doctors operate. But I do. I didn’t need surgery, but if I did, I would want to have Dr. Han do the surgery.
