Dr. David Lee, MD
Dr. David Lee is an orthopaedic surgeon and fellowship trained in adult joint reconstruction. Dr. Lee specializes in hip and knee arthroplasty including both primary and complex revision surgeries. He provides a patient tailored philosophy to each procedure and surgery based on the patients’ comorbidities and lifestyle to optimize function and implant survivorship. Dr. Lee also has extensive expertise and training in treating patients with failed joint replacements.
Dr. Lee received his Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University and Medical Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut. He went on to complete his orthopaedic residency at McGill University, one of the most prestigious orthopaedic training programs in the world. He then completed an adult reconstruction fellowship at the University of Calgary in Canada. Prior to joining Han Orthopaedics, Dr. Lee has been practicing in Vancouver for 10 years where he has built a reputation as one of the top joint replacement surgeons in the area.
Dr. Lee is passionate about giving back to the community. Every year he travels to Cuenca, Ecuador, as a volunteer orthopaedic surgeon with the True North Mission Society, where he performs complex joint reconstruction for people unable to receive proper medical treatment. Dr. Lee is also bilingual in English and Mandarin.
